|Post subject:||Painted Miniatures|
I am considering offering painted versions of our miniatures to those collectors that either don't game with miniatures or are not artistically inclined.
I am going to be using an Asian painting service - such as "Reinforcements By Post" - which offers two grades of painting - we will be selecting the better of the two that provides shading, highlighting, etc. Where required we will be able to get limited free-hand detail work done also. For this quality, the cost will be about $5US per figure - with extra charges if they have to clean up the figure, drill out hands, etc.
The proposal is to send the figures in bulk from here and then when they return to ship them off to the various customers. There would be postage costs and possibly customs when the figures return from overseas.
Not sure if the payment would be up front or deposit then balance - this will be determined largely by the painting service's terms.
There are some issues yet to be ironed out - such as the paint schemes for things like the Puppeteer Vignette. Once a scheme has been set there still may be the opportunity for specific changes to be made as long as those changes can be clearly described for the painter. All the painting descriptions have to be presice and clear - painted samples to be copied are rated the best, good pictures next bext - text descriptions the least best.
If you are at all interested in this sort of service please contact me at:

I will add you to may Painted Miniatures contact list.
Comments & Suggestions welcomed, as always.

This is a very interesting idea Howard. At the moment, I would not be interested as I do enjoy painting (even if I am very slow!) but in the future...

It's going to progress slowly at first as I have too many things going on at the moment what with trying to get stuff into production, new stuff sculpted and bring our older stuff over from Australia.
I'm hoping to get a small "test" order sent maybe later this month or early next month and will go from there. At the very least, I want to get my own stuff done. I have only a single fully-painted Tekumel miniature in my whole collection - which is a bit embarrassing!
