Well anyone who wants scenario books could do worse than to pick up copies of the old TOME Adventures. Those are a good start.

As for writing new ones, I haven't heard that Guardians is interested in any follow-on products. Now, if someone wants to support my family for a couple months, I'm sure I could turn some out...

I found it hard to convert D&D scenarios. A lot of them seemed to rely on a high level of magic, a particular mythology, special magic items or conflict between the D&D alignments. I mostly gave up.

I wrote a scenario-campaign for myself - The Searchers - which is outlined elsewhere here. It's not really for beginners.

I tried to convert "The Guardian Of The Key To Time" (magazine scenario from the 1980's). The PCs become trapped in a timeless pocket dimension and must escape from it by retrieving the Key to Time. I think it came from a UK magazine called Imagine.

I abandoned another magazine scenario - I tried to convert. 'The Beholder Contracts', another scenario from a UK 1980's gaming magazine.

We has a good game playing an Ars Magica module - Stormrider. The Stormrider himself became a N'luss warrior who was riding an actual dragon. He looked identical to the N'luss in our party - which caused consternation wherever we went.

I just took these from my notes. They are scenarios I thought would be easy to convert at the time. I haven't reread them recently so these are just suggestions and none of them have been run for Tekumel:

1. I have the ICE module: (rules for Fantasy Hero or Rolemaster). Several scenarios from this looked playable: The Pyramid, The Necropolis, The True Name of Bast, The Curse of the High Priest, and the adventure ideas given on page 77.

2. From the D&D boxed set Greyhawk, TSR-1043 - I seemed to think that 3 scenarios looked good to convert. They were: 'Prisoner of Zender', 'The Lich Staff' and 'The Ghost's Ship'.

3. Dungeon Magazine, May-June 1990 had: a) a scenario called the 'Old Sea Dog'. The Dog became a N'luss slave gladiator. b) A scenario called 'Pyramid of Jenkel'.

4. The Pits of Bendal Dolum (Call of Cthulhu) from 'Terror From the Stars' module, CHA-2313.

5. Many of the scenarios I picked up by looking on the web looked very promising (at least 1 in 5 of them and there seem to be hundreds of them). I have all these in my notes but can't really find the original source for them.

6. I always reckoned that the classic Call of Cthulhu scenario. Masks of Nyarlathotep would make a good conversion but this is an epic campaign of at least 16 sessions. The players would certainly expect the cultists to be followers of one of the pariahs but a clever GM would preempt that by making the cultists think that they were following a pariah. The actual scenario would also involve the PCs seeing through the actual 'mask' of Nyarlathotep (or whoever that was) to discover He was a demon?

Hi Allan,

I've never seen it, but Masks of Nyarlathotep has a really good reputation as a campaign, for what that's worth.

You all have seen the adventures here on the site, yes? In the Eye of Opening section, and in the Book of Visitations of Glory? They are all (I think) single scenarios, not campaigns, but might still be of use.
