M.A.R. Barker’s Empire of the Petal Throne, unveiled at Gencon VIII in August 1975 by TSR, is the original presentation of how to role-play in the world of Tékumel. This book, a reproduction of the Different Worlds printing, contains role-playing rules which are more-or-less Dungeons and Dragons compatible, and sufficient world information to provide a solid basic gaming experience in Tékumel.
The Nightmare Maze of Jigrésh, written by Michael E. Mayeau for the Empire of the Petal Throne role-playing system, takes player characters to the Maze Temple of Jigrésh, rumored to be protected by two Demon Lords. Although the adventure is not ‘level specific’, the author describes it as being challenging for 6 characters of 5-7 levels with a few hirelings. 14-page adventure published by Judges Guild.
