I was going to try and mod a toy triceratops into a miniature of a chl'en with green puty... but I can't find any note in either the GOO T'ekumel or the 1975 TSR EPT as to what color the beasts are. Grey, like a rhino? Green, like a reptile? Something else entirely?
Thanks muchly in advance for any help.

The Tekumel Sourcebook, aka Swords & Glory volume 1, says unpainted Chlen-hide is gray-green, but that's after it has been peeled and processed. I've looked in the Tekumel Bestiary and the Miniatures Painting Guide, and found no information on the color of living animals. There are very few illustrations of them, the only ones I can think of are in the bestiary. Their size and armor suggest that camouflage is not likely to have been important for them in their recent evolutionary history -- like rhinos or elephants or buffalo. The horns on the head and colors might vary -- chlen are apparently domesticated, and there are different breeds.
