Alright, some time ago there was some discussion about making Clan formula to make it easier to read about Clans and, I would suppose, get a hang of a Clan without having to read several pages of text or possibly find that the author didn't include that one little piece of information that you wanted. But since nothing seems to have come of that project I decided to take it on myself.
This the first draft for the Clan formula as well as an example to illustrate how I would image that it could be filled out. Any and all comments, ideas and suggestions are welcome and I hope that some of you may find some use for it.
EDITED: You can also follow the discussion on the Tékumel yahoo.group

Notes (further notes that the author would like to make about the Clan)
Example
Name: Black Mirror Clan
Status: High
Spread: Southern, mostly in the coastal areas, Tsolyánu with some presence in coastal Salarvyyá. The Clan's stronghold lies in the Tsolyáni coastal city of Itzáya.
Temple: Dark Trinity with a preference for Ksárul and Grugánu
Profession: Mostly priests, administrators or officials
Lineages: HiKügesh is among the most influential lineages of the Clan while the hiKóreng lineage is much more poorly regarded and of low status.
Politics: The Clan is mostly in support of the Royalist Party and in the city of Itzáya they have numerous client Clans connected to them as they are the single most powerful Clan there.
History: The origien is lost in the mists of history but the Clan claims to be descended from certain kings who ruled the city in ages past and there are indications that the Clan existed during the First Imperium and its roots might even predate that distant time. During the time of the Second Imperium the Clan has proved willing to work with the Imperium and maintained its influence over Itzáya.
Notes: The Clan looks back to many tradition of uncertain roots and take great pride in their supposedly ancient history. Many among it find that Clans who came into existance during the time of the rule of the priest-kings of Gánga are little more than upstars and pretenders. As matter the Clan prefers when possinly to work with Clans dating back to the First Imperium and they hold the Cloak of Azure Gems Clan in high regard.
There is also the issue of a peculier form of worship of an entity called the "Lord of the Black Smoke" who supposedly is a patron for both the city and for the Clan itself. The nature of this Lord is thought to be either a little known Aspect of Ksárul or Grugánu or a demon in the service to either or both of them. The most ancient rites hinted at in old documents and reliefs found in the Underworld is supposed to be lost to the Clan and only lesser and more recent rites are practiced at certain times of the year.
