The Clan of the Balanced Stone

I've ben reading the Kevuk PDF from RPGNow.com and I came across the Clan of the Balanced Stone. It is based in Ssa'atis, in Mu'ugalavya and is a source of Tsahltén judges. It is also stated to be

"...famous as a source of reliable body servants, majordomos, chamberlains, accountants and judges of sporting events".

It is stated to be found across the Five Empires. I assume only in the larger cities.

Question: What status is it? I am thinking low despite it's fame, but maybe Medium(?)

My thinking is that "Gentleman's Gentlemen", though trusted and often indispensable, were certainly low status compared to their upper crust Masters. I rather like the idea of a low status clan providing all the "toffs" around the Empires with their most trusted servants. :-)

Sounds like an interesting clan and I agree that they would probably be medium. While of lower status than their masters they would still need to have enough status for their masters to be able to actually make use of them.

There is an existing clan that provides maids and body servants that is stated to be low status. I thought up a rough guide to clan status the other day:

The Emperor - Is
The Imperial Clan - Are
The Very High Clans - Always Have Been
The High Clans - Did Something
The Middle Clans - Do Something
The Low Clans - Serve Someone
The Very Low Clans - Do Something No One Else Wants To (or can do)
