I posted something similar to this on Google+ a few days ago and thought I'd bring the subject here. With more Tekumel games and supporting material on the horizon, I was reminded of the Drune's awesome Humanspace Empires setting. He produced a nice playtest draft, and planned to expend upon it, as well as create books on space monsters and adventures. Alas, the Drune dropped off the web around 2011/2012 and hasn't been heard from since. This is a shame, because this was a unique space opera setting. There are some good OSR sci fi resources and games out there, but I always have hoped that the Drune or someone woud take this up again, especially with a renewed interest in Tekumel.
