has anyone any thoughts on the creation of a Tekwiki? would the professor approve? Something with restricted editing privileges. It seems a more tidy way to organize all the various info out there..

There is a Tekumel wiki. It was written as the FAQ and help section for the Tekumel MUSH. Given that the Tekumel MUSH has not really gone anywhere I guess you could begin your wiki by copying the articles from the MUSH wiki. I give you my permission to use all my articles. You probably need to contact the other authors. I think there are 3 or, at the most, 4 or us.
These articles are editable in HTML so you can just cut and paste the HTML into your own wiki.
You probably need to send an email to the main tekumel email list to get permission from the other authors.

Seashell, has the TekMUSH been a complete bust, or is there a possibility of it taking off?
Thanks!

I can't see it taking off myself. I think we wanted to get things TOO right before we began. For instance we were working an a PHP website to generate characters for the MUSH; I don't think most MUSHes get that far. Other MUSH groups are probably more interested in just running a game.
My main problem was that I never really understood how the MUSHes worked because I don't play them. I never learnt any of the programming languages (for building the MUSH infrastructure, rooms, etc.)
I think it would be quite easy for someone with experience of running a MUSH to get the TekMUSH up and running because quite a lot was done.
Two people who know more about the state of the MUSH are Belinda R. Kelly and Rob Robbins.
To summarise, unless someone who knows what they're doing (someone who's previously written one) wants to take up the MUSH project I can't see it going anywhere.
