Hi all,

We'd like to continue the tradition of Tekumel events at the U-Con game convention in southeast Michigan. The convention is November 22-24 at the Eagle Crest Marriott Resort in Ypsilanti, just east of Ann Arbor. This location offers much more room than was available in the past, free parking, and discounted rooms are available in the on-site Marriott hotel.

I regret that I'm a bit late putting the call out, and the deadline for having your event available at the start of pre-registration is August 20th. Please don't let this discourage you though, they will accept event submissions up to October 25!
If you are even *thinking* about submitting an event, please let me know.

Pre-registration is scheduled to open September 3.

Tabletop role-playing games are mostly what we've done in the Tekumel track, but large LARPS have been been a frequent feature, and board games (The Great Chlen Race?) or miniatures events would be very welcome too.

I'll be "coordinating" the Tekumel Track again this year, which pretty much just means I put the call out to Tekumel fans, and advise on how to schedule events. I'm also happy to act as native guide, since I live nearby. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have questions.

Hello Tekumel fans!

I am happy to report that we already have at least 3 GMs running Tekumel events at UCon, including Patrick Brady (co-author of Tekumel: Empire of the Petal Throne), Krista Donnelly (noted contributor to the Book of Visitations of Glory) and Brett Slocum, moderator of the tekumel yahoogroup, and master of Tekumel conversions (GURPS, TFT, etc.).

We are keen to have more! If you would like to run a Tekumel event of any kind, please submit it now, so that it will be available for pre-registration right when pre-reg opens. Instructions are in the message below. You can submit events any time before early October, but the sooner the better. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me.

We previously said that we needed events now for "first round
scheduling." However there has been some confusion as to what we mean
by this. To put it simply, any events submitted before August 26th
will be available as soon as preregistration opens. Though we will
continue to accept events until early October, all later submissions
will be processed and posted as time and space permits.

If you do not see a game or event that interests you, feel free to
make a request by commenting on our website. Or, consider becoming a
GM and share one of your favorite games with us!

Hi all,

The deadline for submitting events for U-Con is tomorrow, October 25. We have a weekend's worth of Tekumel events already, but there is demand for more, so please consider coming and running a game of any kind. The convention has a good supply of open gaming tables, but registration gets you quieter space and gives the rest of us a chance to sign up in advance.

There is still a seat or two open in a couple of Tekumel games, so if you're thinking about it, please take a look.

If you are coming, or just thinking about it, I'd love to hear from you, and answer any questions you may have.

Finally, Nov. 2 is the last day to take advantage of the discount on hotel rooms at the convention site.
