This is a mini, low-level adventure that I recently ran for my own group.
Background
The Grotto of the Heavens is a cave believed to have been used by some minor sorcerer (his name is forgotten) during Bednálljan times. None remember why it is called by that name. It is situated a short walk from the Sákbe road. The Grotto is not believed to contain any treasures, but local folklore speaks of a curse which befalls those foolhardy enough to enter.
Three men of a mercantile clan are about to enter the Grotto:
• Burétl hiMaródla is clumsy, but a talented salesman. He is the lead merchant of the caravan.
• Keréktu is outgoing, brave, and inquisitive. Caravan guard.
• Gacháya’s hygiene is questionable, but he’s quite agile. He is another caravan guard.
Note to the GM: These men are of a merchant clan at or close to the clan status of the PCs; choose one that is suitable (Rising Sun / Hnálla?). Burétl has the highest lineage (and thus, status) among the NPCs within this clan, making him equal status with the highest-status PC.
The Adventure Begins
On a sudden impulse, Gacháya has just stolen a fine bejeweled silver anklet – worth 67 Káitars - from the caravan’s money box. While looking for an opportunity to plausibly blame the theft on someone else, he and Burétl hear local peasants telling the tale of the Grotto in the Sákbe road way station. This is where the players come in: they overhear the conversation between these men and some locals speaking of the Grotto.
Seizing the chance, Gacháya exclaims, “Do not think that your peasant tales frighten men if the (insert clan name here) clan! We shall go forthwith to this place, and show that your childish stories are but superstitious nonsense. Is this not so, Master Burétl?â€

This seems like a good adventure to spice up a longer travel with. I personally would probably not run it as my vision of Tékumel don't include lots of dungeon crawls but I might run some modified form of it.
