I have finally decided to get off the bench and into the game, and managed to convince some players to give Tékumel a tryHas anyone run "Welcome to Jakálla" from Eye of All-Seeing Wonder vol. 1? () How did it go? Did you run into any issues?
Also, what did you do for a second adventure? In the text, it is implied that the next adventure would be rescuing Chuli from the clutches of the young aristocrat, but that leads to an obvious problem: how do they accomplish that without ending up as a wall decoration for the Foreign Quarter? The first answer that springs to mind is to go to their erstwhile patron Lord Vrimeshtu and try offering their continued services in return for him using his influence. Are there others?

I haven't tried it yet but I'd like to try a version off it in Itzáya rather than in Jakálla. While they could get themselves deeper into debt to the Tsolyáni lord I know that I'd encourage the players to attempt a brazen rescue attempt.

I haven't run the adventure, but to answer your last question...
You could stretch out the kidnapping. The noble wouldn't have done it himself, he might not even have arranged it himself. People like him have people to do things like that. Maybe he told the slaver to get her. The slaver in turn employed his goons, or maybe his own people were busy, and he used some hired muscle. Maybe the noble then got distracted, and she's still in the hands of the slaver, or the slaver's hired help.
or... depending on how gritty your Foreigner's Quarter is, getting kidnapped and used by a young aristocrat might not be such a bad fate, and might even lead to opportunities for her to aid her tribe.
