Welcome aboard!
Yes the Yahoogroups are *somewhat* more active than this forum, though now I am thinking we should really work to reverse that trend as theis is the main Tekumel site, after all!
The yahoogroups tend to go through long periods of inactivity and then bursts of feverish posting.
Regarding the axial tilt, I believe the Ancients modified pretty much everything to make Tekumel as close to Earth as possible.
Note that Tsolyanu has regional temperature variations that may not be mentioned in the GOO book. Jakalla and Penom are very hot and humid, while Chene Ho and Khirgar in the north are much more pleasant.
