A Magazine Dedicated to the World of 'The Empire of the Petal Throne' by M.A.R. Barker.
The Book of Visitations of Glory is an amateur press publication in an electronic magazine format based on Professor Barker’s world of Tékumel. It provides a forum for those creative fans of his world to exchange their ideas of how they perceive this wonderful setting. Some express themselves through art, others through writing. These expressions are gathered together and distributed in issues to members of the group. There are few restrictions on the type of submissions and although they are not canon to the ‘official’ world they do provide an interesting insight in how different people view this fictional future of mankind.
Hopefully this provides two lasting effects. The first is that the contributors become better writers and artists through disciplined practice of their craft. The second is that these small contributions can spark an interest in someone else to add their own ideas. The world of Tékumel is astoundingly complex and each of these offerings adds another brilliant facet to the jewel.
